As soon as it was legally possible, we started to produce the World Health Organisation recipe hand sanitiser to help fight the COVID-19 crisis; amongst the first distilleries in the UK to do so.  Glân is made with a touch of calming lavender oil, offering a small touch of brightness during a difficult time.

At the start of the crisis, we were inundated with requests from across South Wales and beyond and, as you can see below, within a few weeks we had supported ambulance crews, hospitals, schools, police, nurses, midwives, social care centres, GPs, care homes and palliative care centres with hand sanitiser donations.

We received many wonderful donations from concerned individuals and companies to support our #notforprofit initiative and we would like to thank everyone for their generosity of spirit.  All of this money has been used to make more products for those in need and key-workers across South Wales and beyond. Our team of volunteers (all working at a social distance) were amazing and helped us produce enough sanitiser for tens of thousands of bottles to donate.

We ran the #notforprofit initiative for over 3 months and still donate where we can.  We stopped advertising gin on social media and instead celebrated the heroes in our community.  It felt right to do so. As the demand has changed, so has our business and we now supply a number of national organisations, including the NHS and we are very proud of this. In response to requests, we have put together some small packs of hand sanitiser in our online shop.
